| Resolution | Prerequisites:
- Ensure the user has read/write permissions to the HeavyJob network folder.
Installing a Workstation
- Double-click the wsinst.msi file at [Mapped Drive Letter]:\HeavyJob.
- If Windows asks for permission, click Yes. Otherwise, click Next to continue.
- Ensure the radial is set to Start Installation and then click Next >. Then skip to Step 5. If needing to Customize the installation, proceed with the notes and step 4 directly below.
Notes:
- For systems running HeavyJob 2018 and older, selecting Start installation defaults to a Small Workstation install.
- (Optional) Changing the radial to Customize Installation followed by Next will present the option to change the location of the workstation folder. Additionally, in systems running HeavyJob 2018 and older, this will also allow a user to pick between a Small or Large workstation install.

- Small Workstation- This setting only installs necessary files to the workstation and will run all executable files from the network share. The benefit of a small installation is that all users will have the same files, so custom files do not have to be individually installed to each workstation.
- Large Workstation- This setting installs all the main files to the server. While it requires more disk space, it offers faster performance. Updating the workstation requires users to be logged out of the system and any changes made to the system files have to be made to each individual Large Workstation install.
- By choosing Large Workstation, there will be a prompt to provide or check the local installation directory.
- Toggle where to store documentation and click Next.
-
Access from server- Documentation and Help files will be stored and pulled from the server as needed.
-
Install locally (requires 210 MB of disk space)- Documentation will load faster when installed locally, but is also available at the Help and Community website
- Click Install to begin the workstation installation.
- Click Finish to exit the installer.
- Click Yes to restart the workstation and complete the update.
